Webelos Woods Campout
Camp James Ray

Webelos Woods, our fall Camporee at Camp James Ray, is designed to give first- and second-year Webelos Scouts and their parents a preview of the Boy Scouting experience. The camporee program reinforces Boy Scouting values, procedures, methods, and skills. It is an introduction to Boy Scouts as a "boy-led" program instead of the adult-led program used in Cub Scouts.

There is nothing like the thrill of camping in the outdoors at a Boy Scout camp to foster a desire to continue in Scouting. This was an excellent time introduce three different Webelos groups to our troop activities. It provided an excellent opportunity for them to visit with us as a first step in seeing the many fun activities we have during the year and how we are prepared to eat well and have fun on campouts.

What's that?
